Grocery bag tax August 20, 2009

I am really upset that the government is trying to tax grocery bags, I mean isn’t that why we recycle, they are getting reused.

I do not think that we should have to pay taxes on something that we nees, we already have to pay too much on food.

I think it’s bullshit that we may have to pay taxes on bags that we need in order to grocery shop which are means to feeding our familys and ourselves. I mean what’s next??? Tax the homeless for sleeping in the streets I mean it’s a little ridiculous to tax bags for peoples grocerys just another way for uncle sam to make money of the consumer!!! Ok I am done bitching….LOL!!!

I agree completely, it isn’t fair but on the other hand even if we do recycle everyone doesn’t and it takes a long time to get rid of the plastic. So, maybe having bags that we use and reuse would be a good idea even though it is to inconvenient.

So when we have a grocery cart full of groceries they wanted us to pay 20 cents per bag. Or the other brilliant option; use those small bags that don’t hold anything and cost around $10 initially. Aren’t the paper and plastic bags made of recycled material? Isn’t this state one of the biggest on recycling? Why charge for a neccessry thing in this economy? Looks like it’s back to the drawing board for the political douchebags…
